glad i could help.

firefox is arguably the best browser too, and the one i am using at the moment, tabbed browsing (where you can set it up to open new links in the background in another tab) and search engine bar are indispensable. Also plenty of extensions for it that make it even better.

Jack,

Been using the Firefox on your advice and like it so far. Only thing is how do I do the tabbed browsing you mention? Thanks.

bill, sorry for the late answer but i ve not been around for while, with firefox you can have tabs opening up in the same window and do all your browsing in one window this way, or organise it thematicaly, say, and group similar pages of interest in one window. Control + T will open up a new tab for you, and there's an extension available to download (an add in that is) where you can have a new tab open up just by double clicking anywhere on the tab bar. You should, at least i have, enable the open tab in the background option from the options menu, in this way you can keep browsing a page and open up whatever tabbed link you want in the background, i am sure you ll find this a very intuitive and practical way of browsing. You can also bookmark (set as a favourite) a whole group of tabs, say australian bookmakers or any other grouping you find useful opening up in one window, and then have them all open up in one window at the same time. To do that you select bookmark all tabs in one folder from the add bookmark menu. Even if you don't do that you can have all bookmarks, favourites, in one folder open simultaneously in tabs open in tabs from the bookmark menu. Have a look at some of the multitude of available extensions such as web spider, a quick notetaking companion etc. etc. The only feature not yet functional unfortunately, a known bug, is the update notification feature which checks a web site whenever you set it to, and notifies you when it's been updated.
